    Hi Everyone,
I need to replace the Miata. I've been looking around and found the following:

    1. 2000 BMW Z3 2.3, 23k miles, $19K
    2. 2000 Honda S2000, 14k miles, $20K
    3. 1997-8 Porsche Boxster, 30k miles, $20-$22k.
    4. 1998 Chevy Corvette, 30k miles, $20k.

Which one should I get? Anybody got any experience or inputs with these cars? Are these prices high or right?
    Thanks!

Well, you know what I would get out of this bunch (p-car). But let me tell you, my buddy just traded in his 2000 Boxster S fully loaded with low mileage for approx. $26k. Granted, that's close to wholesale but you should look harder and spend a little bit more for a better car.

All great cars. Each has different features.

    Power = Corvette

Convertible + Power = S2000 (Has high Revs) followed by the Porsche but the Porsche is over rated.

Z3 is not the car for you. As Chris stated, an M Roadster is a different story.

    Good luck with your choice

Out of the cars that you posted i would get the s2000, its an amazing car. However, you may want to look into a Nissan 350Z. I have one and LOVE it to death.

3.0L Z3 (which I drive) is a great deal as it has similar power to the early M Roadsters and significantly cheaper- great cars, alot of fun to drive..

Hey, I can't be wrong on my birthday, watch it!

Does asking Joe Rogan whether or not he took home Carmen qualify as part of that 1%?

Thank you all for your inputs!
I test drove the S2000 today. It is NICE and FAST!!! I say it is faster than my old 348. I'm going to sleep on it tonight.
Gonna go see a few Boxsters tomorrow. Current order of preference:

    1. S2000
    2. Boxster
    3. Vette
    4. Z3

Also gonna check out the 350Z. But I need a convertible (at least a removable roof).

Yea, the S2000 is an amazing car, you really need to drive one to appreciate it. I was considering the honda but got the 350z in the end because there is something about its driving experience that i fell in love with and i also thing its better for daily driving (but i dont really care about that). Either way you cant go wrong. If you have questions about the s2000 or Z please feel free to PM me, i can help you out.

No, because no one "important" heard it first hand, so it was brilliant. :)

Ken, don't bother w/ the BMW Z3. I got one for my wife a couple years ago. Personally, I think the ride is a litte stiff and the handling a little twitchy. However hers is an automatic and probably will be her Florida car in a couple years. Car has been absolutley rock solid on reliability.

S2000 is a fast car but the styling just does nothing for me and I would thing they get beaten on quite a bit.

Corvette is a corvette, dime a dozen and I'm sure will be a very low mait. car - inexpensive parts. However the one thing about the corvette is they tend to have rattles and I thing their interiors are cheap looking. Now a new zo6 would be fabulous.

Why not look for a 993, not a boxster which I understand have some issues w/ them.

Thanks, Dave, spared me from having to say the exact same thing (except the part where you mention your imaginary wife).
