Help Me Find A Beater

Ok Folks, I know we've seen all these "first car" and "help me find a car for under 10k" threads.

But I want a beater. I want something somewhat fast, cheap and reliable enough to start every day. It can be anything as long as its a car, no trucks or SUVs. Im thinking a big American beater, a ****ty Honda or a Volvo 200/700.

I want something with a fair amount of balls. I drive a BMW 530i E39 everyday normally(my dad's car), yea it's not F430 but it's enough that I'm used to having some speed.

So, any ideas, let me know. On that subject, what was your first car.

 

Get a 6 series. Thats what I did. (2x!)

Power to weight should be better for the 3.5's. 635s can be had for 3-5k, 633s can be had for 2-4k. Steals at those prices.

Ford Mustang GT. It is exactly what you are asking for. Just go back in years or up in miles until you hit your price range.

The first car I ever purchased was a 66 Mustang coupe. Of course it was only 12 years old when I bought it.

BTW that Mustang is still in my garage.

My first car was an '86 Merkur XR4Ti. It would be a great car for you if you can find one that hasn't been molested. I had a couple of SUVs before that, but you already said that you don't want an SUV.
