Can anybody point me in the right direction or know somewhere that has a '84 BOXER original Ignition (Box)? I have an MSN???? on there now and it just doesn't run right. I don't know much about the mechanics of the cars, so sorry if I don't know what i'm talking about.
Or who can repair the Original

Wow, Armen that's a tought one. But try giving GT Car Parts a call (623) 780-2200.

If they don't have it, you may wanna try talking to Phill a QV London, in England. They may be able to find one. Their number from here in the US is 011-44-134-462-2011

Why don't you just fix what you have? I'm guessing it ran fine with it before.

Agree. Are you sure it's "MSN" and not MSD?

Try contacting MSD Ignition's support line and see if they have something comparable.

Just buy another MSD6A for around $300, you need to send it to MSD so they can set it up for a 12 cylinder which they charge around $40.00 for, MSD is superior to the old Dinoplex and gives a much hotter and multiple spark.Or order a Permatune which is slightly more in price.

Gotta agree, from all the threads I have seen in the past few years, the MSD is THE recommended upgrade from the less reliable dinoplex's. Just get a replacement MSD.

Good Idea. Has it been done before. I know it's not set up for a 12cylinder. Is this a common procedure?

It's probably what is in your car now. Never heard of a MSN ignition.

Most Boxers have been converted to the MSD6A as they are much better than the dinoplex, the unit is a red box and could be hidden in your car as some with keep the original Dinoplex box as a dummy for concours as well.

Isn't MSN ignition the one with that annoying butterfly guy?
