When my dad acquired the 78 308 it came with an aftermarket Elderbrock oil cap. This cap is only held in with a rubber gasket and you just pullet it off. It works to keep oil in the engine but we think that we are not getting the proper oil pressure with this aftermarket cap. I am wondering if someone knows where I could get something for a reasonable cost that will fit and allow the proper pressure to be obtained. Thanks in advance.

The proper oil cap for the 308/328s are the same as fiat. or call Daniel at Ricambi or T-Rutland
The oil cap shouldn't have anything to do with the oil pressure, as the valve cover isn't really that pressurize.

the "problem" with your oil pressure is most probably the sending unit. They tend go go bad in 308 / 328 models.

replacement is not all that expensive.
