I'm trying to track down the current owner of a car my father sold in California back in the mid-80s. I recently discovered the owner's manual with mileage and fueling notes written by the original owner back in '64. This is the only photo I have of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Additional information: My father told me that it was a '64 330GT 2+2 America (1/50). Thanks

try the vintage section. It's amazing how someone always seems to know about any given car. Obviously a serial number would greatly increase your chances too.

    That's a 330 America, not a 330 GT 2+2 if it has a 330 4 litre engine.

Do you know the names of any of the other owners of the car?

You could also try asking here:

    http://www.330gt.com/default.htm

If someone on Ferrari Chat provides you with any information there is a good chance it will have come from here anyway!

Could be. My dad would have been one of the mystery owners between 1974 and 2002. Thanks for the lead.

    Moved to Vintage.

Are you sure it’s not a 250 GTE?

I agree with Matt, it looks like a 250 GTE 2+2.

330 America was the last of the 250GT chassis/body, with the larger displacement 330 engine, prior to the 330GT.

I was going by the taillights. I looked at a couple of Series III's to be sure. The taillights on a 330 2+2 are horizontal.

Unless someone has attached an additional badge to the lid of the boot (trunk) then the car in the photograph a 330 America. Fifty of these were made using the 250 GTE chassis and a 4 litre engine. Post #3 in this thread does say this.

The 330 America is a totally different car to the 330 GT 2+2.

I’m well aware of what a 330 America is.

I’m used to them having their name in script across the trunk, as seen below and missing from the original picture.

Ah, now I got it, thanks. Why no 330 America badge on this one?

To clarify, Tepesquintle's father''s car is 5041 GT, not the example 330 America shown above. As for why no badge, we are not sure. Sometimes they did, sometimes they didn't. And then of course, there is the debate as to whether they were mounted horizontally or diagonally, but I am not diving into that on!

250 America which is the basic body of the 250 2+2(GTE) but with a 4 liter engine rather than the 3 liter engine.. This was at the end of the run of the 250 2+2.

Please also note that the 330 America badge was not on the original photo.
