Guys, My kids have fallen in love with the movie "Cars".....it would be really fun to have some white "eyes" on my windshield, or more accurately some white material that outline eyes (eye area not covered).... Is there any plastic-like material that I can use.....maybe something like white window tint that appears white from the outside and yet can be seen through from the inside. It would just be temporary. I could use some white monokote that I put on the wings/framing of my radio-controlled planes but it wouldn't be transparent and I don't think the eye-openings would be large enough for me to safely see through while driving.... Any thoughts (constructive thoughts towards this idea)...
Retail sign shops (Sign*A*Rama, FastSigns, Signs'R'Us, etc.) have (or can get) a white self-adhesive perforated vinyl that they use to put graphics on automotive/delivery van windows. The holes are small enough that they are mostly unnoticeable from the outside of the vehicle, yet it can be seen through from the inside of the vehicle. Check your local Yellow Pages for 'sign shops'. Patrick W. Heinske -- [email protected]
Talk to Denny at Awards & More in Calabasas. He's got all the equipment (I should know as I ran his sign operation for three years) and is always at VCR on Sunday (from what I've seen it's with a green falcon pickup w/wood sides). He's right off Ventura and Parkway, down the street from the Calabasas Saddlery and AutoGallery.
Great info guys.... But today is a different day, and like the tide my mind has changed and I'm no longer interested in doing that eye-ball thing to my windshield. What a stupid idea!!!! TODAY I'm fascinated with putting a slurpee-machine in the front trunk: wouldn't it be great to show-up at VCR, open the hood and dispense ice-cold delicious slurpee's to all my buddies??????? How and who do I talk to about getting a slurpee machine installed???????? Cause I really need it, yeah, definitely need it. For sure! (Aw the merits of using fat-metabolizers & caffiene) Just kidding, I'll checkout those sources, thanks guys!!!
