Just had my car serviced by dealer. When it came back the car has been in limp mode. I sent it to have the dash recovered and to check why the control system light would come on upon start up then went away and the car ran fine.
During service they replaced the secondary secondary air valve , and cleaned the exhaust manifold and head exhaust ports. and then did a full service. they also replaced the engine mounts..

However now i have no engine lights on and the car will not go over 5000 rpm...

The battery has been charged and appears to be OK
I also disconnected the battery and then did a reboot..
I would appreciate any suggestions .
I have driven the car about 10k miles in the last 2years or so of ownership....
    ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

    Talk to the dealer.

When I changed my 2016 Cali T battery, the process was straightforward. With car off pull out old battery and put in new battery. I did not do any "reboot" step other than this replacement action. Dealer advised it would take half a dozen or more starting and driving cycles to get rid of weird messages. Indeed, messages indicating the engine was needing all sorts of work, top failure, and other electrical weirdness happened, giving different messages as time went on. After a few days, the car computer system settled into completely normal operation. Thankfully the dealer told me this would happen. In my case the battery had gone dead in my home garage due to my mistake of forgetting when the battery last was replaced (five years ago, car gave unusual messages in garage and would not crank the starter, battery appeared to charge fine). Replacing the battery in my garage was the easiest step to try first according to my dealer and that worked.

    Mcw :
Thanks for the post I did talk to the dealer many times who is 200 miles away .. I paid a $30000 bill and they shipped it back to me .. They are of ZERO HELP RIGHT NOW.. I could replace the battery but it has never gone dead and is hooked up to the tender constantly when not being driven (ie every night)..it shows a charge of 12.7 volts.. which sounds good. And since i have no warning lights I am baffled myself.. if it is not resolved by weekend I will put a new battery in ..

Do you have a code reader ? Like a older AP200 etc ..maybe if we see the codes we can help ..
We can also try to test battery if you have a decent voltmeter

yes and truthfully no codes came up.. I have used it to clear codes many times in the past.. but it shows it to be clear..I will probably just replace the battery .. although it did test good. I have a friend that is a master Porsche Mechanic is going to look at it tomorrow ..My plan was for him to go over all the work that was done and see if it is something obvious.?? for lack of a better idea..

If they were only closer I would drive it over and get it handled which I may have to do.. I have been getting cars serviced by them for the last 13 years.. up to 4 per year..
I definitely can tell if a car is revving 5000 rpm or 8000 rpm.. but this is a mystery to me no codes.. or lights..

That is truly strange no codes ..if you have a generic reader then that could be the reason

Not sure what you use ?? ..for the engine to go into limp mode a code should be set ...

Hi Larryh, here are some more details on my experience, 2016 not 2013 car.

My car is on the tender nearly every night. Tender looked good, no starter engagement. Battery voltage around 12.7 V. Tried putting real battery charger on, same no-crank result. Then found battery was 5 years old. On pre-computer cars such a battery state would give a bit more starter motor and solenoid clues. Putting in new battery got car running. Half dozen or more strange start and drive cycles and car became normal.

Without knowing exactly why, the old battery was my problem. Your circumstance may be similar, and maybe not. Good luck and let us know your solution.

I had a car sit at a service shop for 2 months or more....with no tender connected. Needless to say, I ended up needing a new battery from that abuse.

Did you put a new battery in before you drove it to your office?

Yeah I read a post several years ago that if the gas tank was filled excessively could lead to the exhaust evaporator filter
getting a little gas in it and then send a false signal to the engine.. so maybe transporting with fairly full gas lead to this result ??
In any case she runs great now..
