OK, this is the project. Austin www.x-plane.com founder has a Scuderia, loves it, and wants his new plane to have something from a Scuderia interior. It is the Scuderia of 4 place turbo props, the mighty Lancair Evolution. 850 HP, carbon fiber, 370 knots-it's the bomb!

It seems you have to purchase the complete wheel to get a starter button. Unless, someone knows or has one, this looks like the path.

Any suggestions? Any exotic wrecks being parted out? All he needs is the starter button.

Does it have to be an authentic Ferrari part? If not it may be cheaper to have one machined or molded out of plastic or pull one off a video game racing wheel, there are a couple Ferrari replica ones out there.

He'd have to be crazy to buy an entire wheel in order to get the little plastic button IMO!.... It could have come from almost anywhere - "Engine start" - Very few would know it's "origin".

There's gotta be lots of other "somethings" from a Scud interior that would make more sense? Seats? Door handles? Heater controls?

    Just my 02c ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Here is a trivia question for you. What was the first car and year of the car to use the starter button concept? I dont know the answer but i do remember Fords and Plymouths used them just after the WWII era on the dashes. The Ford Model A used buttons to start the engine as well but were floor mounted.
