    I came up to monterey knowing I had a bit of an issue with my alterntor and sure enough it died. Does anyone know of a shop here to help me that is trustworthy? I would like to get it done quickly and enjoy the Concorso and Races.

    Theremis a Ferrari repair shop near the Monterey airport,or look up Mohr Imports in doentown Monterey.

    Most rebuild shops can do one in a day!!!!

    Check to be sure grounding braid is attached...

    Thanks, I got it over to Fiorano and they did just that. It was done in a few hours and a local shop rebuilt the alternator. Hopefully it will last for a while. I just installed a new ground strap prior to this.

    Just another note of thanks and a plug for John at Fiorano Motors in Monterey. He went out of his way to help me get back on the road and while he could have really stuck it to me, it was proabably even less than I would have normally paid elsewhere. The next day (Saturday 8am) I experienced another little problem when a sensor caused my check engine light to come on. He came in, opened the shop, read the sensor and reset it and didn't even charge me for doing so. While many may have taken advantage of the situation because he knew very well he may never see me again, he didn't and went out of his way to help.
