This is actually a common issue with 599, 612, 2008 and later 430's and the Scuderia/16m line. Also the Duo select QP on the Maserati line. We rebuild, repair the TCU often and usually from a dealer. If you replace the clutch and select the first self learning the SDX, SD3 or DEIS the first thing it does is wipe out the self learned data for the Bellville curve and the attempts a relearn. If it fails the Bellville curve relearn you are dead in the water it will not start or perform any other tests until the curve data is in the TCU. We manually load known good data into the TCU eprom, perform a grid self learn and manual enter the new clutch position and manually set up the PIS. We advise to never perform a full DEIS self learn only a grid self learn.
What causes the relearn to fail .. voltage? That is common in other makes and bricks the ECU Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
So glad you got your car back and that’s it’s running better than ever The A/C should be fixed without issues.
Glad to hear that Bill. Not so glad for the glue and the AC. The good news is that you can use it with your son this week.
The failure is the clutch spring rate doesn’t pass and falls outside the small parameters given by the factory. Often you can try putting it into another car and seeing if the rest will pass but more often we get the TCU and manually enter good files into the eprom.
Just to bring this saga to a proper close. The car is back from the dealer in Paris (C Pozzi) after 3.5 weeks with the AC working well. In the end they replaced the compressor, the tgk valves and various other items. Some were covered under warranty (the big one being the compressor) and some were not. All in all a 10k job where I had to pay 5k. The invoice is attached for completeness. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for such transparency, it’s great to know how things cost in order to maintain a 612 OTO. Soon on your way back to the Riviera?
This sounds like the very issue I am having with regarding a failed DEIS procedure on a Superturismo. If you wouldn't mind, is there a chance you could PM me to assist? I am happy to <cheers> you for your time. Not sure if I could use my universal programmer clip or if I could perhaps send the unit to you. Peaceful wishes and thanks for the information, Warwick
Forgive me, I meant to say ofcourse, the Granturismo. Which I believe is the 599 gearbox. There is no hindrance here, don't worry. I'm just stupid right...
Isn't that a video game? OK, I looked it up. That is a driving simulator for PlayStation. So yes, a video game.
