    Hello all,

Just bought an SF90 spider and the parking assigned for me has an electric plug (maybe type 1) “photo attached” and the cable I got for my SF90 is for Type G (3 pins) “photo attached”

So I want to know if i can buy a third party cable that will work for charging my car without having issues as I am not sure if the building engineering team would want to change the socket to the one I require.

    Regards,

You need to be absolutely sure that's a car charging port for starters as there are some industrial sockets that are very similar - your instruction manual advises the use of the supplied charger as much as possible rather than a charging station (which might be what your socket effectively is & appears to need an additional cable the manual calls Mode 3)

Can you please advise me with pictures and specs of Mode 3 cable? So i can search for it in Amazon and order?
As my building engineering team doesn’t seem to be cooperative to change the current socket to the 3 pins

I can quote your owners manual with comfort but I am uncomfortable speculating on a cable that the manual implies your dealer should have details of for a half million dollar car with a fussy electrical system !

What you may find on Amazon is a converter/transformer to reduce the building socket power to the correct UK style 3 pin socket for your supplied charger - your building's electricians may even have a suggestion - try asking what do they do to be able to use a non-rechargeable 240VAC drill or similar in your garage ?

Be sure to also check with the your building's people if its the sort of thing they use too to get a type G socket
