Chino Airport - which is world famous for its large collection on warbirds on field and as well as the "planes of fame" museum, is need of your help.
Currently the county supervisor is attempting to shut down our beloved airport/pilot lounge for no reason. One could surmise this shut down is due to a political one. However this lounge has served as a local icon for the past 40 years and has seen many transistions from its early days a VFW meeting center to its present day standing.
In addtion to its long history, it has served as neutral meeting place to host pilot/general aviation debriefings for not only new breed of aviation pilots but also for active military personnel. (who actually include a stop in their flight plan to bask in the Airport lounges atmosphere)
We need your help to send an email to the county supervisor to ask him to not close this historic location. If you or if you know of any others who would be willing to send an email please pass this along.

The county supervisors email address is: [email protected]

    Thank you for your time!!!
    Sincerely,

    The local Chino airport communty.

    Dear sir,

Please don't close the Chino pilot's lounge -

It's been an icon for 40 years appreciated by thousands of pilots over the years. It was the fist place that I stopped at in my first solo long cross country from northern California and I remember it fondly.

We are losing history at a rapid rate and we hope the the Chino lounge doesn't become part of "what used to be there".

    Thank you -

    Marc
