1,5 years ago I was rear ended in my QP-1. The car is repaired and now close to perfect condition again. But the rear bumper could not be repaired. Where do i find a replacement? I have looked at all the usual places but so far no luck. Any ideas?

There's a QP1 parting out in GB, you will find contact details under "psrts for sale" section at Enrico's. I have bought some details shared with the Mistral from that car, and communication and shipping went really smooth.

I know about that car, I have bought some stuff from it as well. The condition of the bumper is very bad.
    Any other ideas?

Thank you, I have not seen this company before. But they use similar pictures as Group Harrington which makes me thing they are just a retailer for Group Harrington. If so it is a dead end since they do not produce one-offs.

    Hi Fredric,

a guy in Germany just listed a used QP1 rear bumper on ebay.de.

    Quite rusty, but straight.

I have bought some parts from him last year; he parted out some Maseratis.

Should I contact him as I have his mobile number?

    Hi Fredric,

I´m a bit old fashioned, so doing this is a problem.

But go to ebay.de and put the following number in the search option:

    141177059193

Please keep me updated, if it has worked.

Thank you all for your help, but this one is in too bad condition. I was hoping to find a better one. My option now is commission some one to manufacture a new one.

My guess is that the German one would easily be fixed. Or at least I would bid on it, potentially get it for almost nothing and then use it as a mold to have a new one manufactured.

I'm fortunate enough to have a fellow club member here having a similar car to mine. I can borrow his bumper as a pattern if I need to re-manufacture one. I would have hoped to find an original bumper in good condition but it seems impossible :-(

My understanding is that early bumpers are stainless steel, lster are chromed mild steel. My car (1202) is stainless steel. Regards, Ian

That is correct, my car is the first de-dion series with stainless steel bumpers.

I can possibly help out here. I am making Merak bumpers at an enthusiast basis.
We have the tools and equipment to make it.
It will be a bit more expensive than the Merak bumpers, since it is a one off production.
Contact me off forum, and we'll see if I can arrange something.
