    Hi All
This small rubber part was found on the floor under right hand rear wheel arch after changing cam belts and various other jobs. I think it dropped out of somewhere when i was wrestling to get the Sanden compressor back into place.
Does anyone know where it belongs? It's made of soft rubber, approx 1 1/4" long.
    Thanks for any help.

2 wild ass guesses: 1, if you can blow through it in one direction but not the other it should be in a vacuum line. 2. It's been stuck in there for the last 15 years when the last person did the belts.

Definitely not a vacuum NRV - it's solid.

In my quest to find the location of this part, I've concluded that it is likely to have fallen out from the fixing bracket as shown in the pic.
There is no other purpose for this fixing bracket on my car (its a UK version) and appears that the small bung could be some sort of wheel arch lining cushion
It fits into the fixing and is squeezed by the wheel arch lining.
Or am I just thinking a load of BS?
Has anyone got their right hand side rear wheel arch lining off to take a look? It's a 88.5 328 GTS or know of another for this fixing bracket?
    Thanks for any help.

Installed in threaded holes in the bodywork prior to painting so the threads would not clog with paint. Never removed from fasteners not used.

Asked and answered here every 3 or 4 months.

Dammit Freddie, You just can't go around telling Brian that he has given a useful answer! He will be insufferable for weeks now! ;-)

And yeah, his answers tend to be right.
