First off let it be known that i am 14 years old lol but i do need help if anyone can. Here it is:My dad purchased a 2008 Mercury Sable premier(blue collar huh? haha:)and has been a fan of the Lincoln MKS since the beginning.Unfortunatley,he was off and his lease on his Lincoln LS was up in november.the MKS was not available at the time. Now,we are wondering is there anything he can do to "terminate" the lease now? It is a 3 year lease so that would mean approximatley 2 years are left on the lease contract.I have searched forever on Red Carpet lease buyouts or terminations and cant find anything.I dont think he wants to deal with a private party or anything.I know how much my dad wants to get into an MKS,but have turned everywhere and cant find the right options..can anyone shed any light on this please?

Basically,How can you get out of a lease and into a new car?

I am sorry, and do realized this isnt dealing with ferrari's or lamborghini's but i would be very grateful for any help..?

    thanks very much,

One option is to check the purchase price of the car from the leasing company. You are able to purchase a leased vehicle at anytime during the lease period. If the current purchase price of the car from the leasing company is less then the value of the car you could sell the car for "x" profit. If the value of the car is less then the current purchase price from the leasing company you would lose that difference.

Your father can get out of the lease but it may cost him. Have him call the leasing company and ask what the current price is to purchase the car outright.

No way the leasing company would swap out cars ? Or kill the current lease and re-lease with an MKS ?

Seems to me they 'should' want to do something to keep the customer long-term.
