Hi today my 2012 cali won't open the trunk. Floor button, remote button: nothing. After 15' of tries, it worked. Don't know why. On my previous 430 there were extra cables inside the car to open the front, the engine compartment and even the refueling cap. Does somebody knows if there is something similar on the Cali ? ( I can't find my owners manual, probably there would be some info...). Thanks ciao
I think there was something about holding the trunk release for a while, 15 or 30 sec or so try it or search the forums for it
Yes - seems to happen quite often - try advanced search for 'trunk' in titles & section california - should yield suggestions
Put key in lock on trunk, it is in awkward spot, and turn it. It is not easy but opens it and seems to reset it.
I believe another forum member, possibly someone who works in a dealer service dept, suggested that you pressed down on the trunk lid while turning the key because there's a latch pulling down on the trunk and that latch may be the reason why it's very tough to turn the key.
On 458 same happens when trunk becomes too hot under sunlight. But theres an extra cable under the steering wheel. Probably Cali has it too.
Just had exactly same problem. Owners manual and trickle charger locked in boot. Flat battery after two weeks standing. Found keyhole turning only worked when boot lid pressed down.
