Got in the 95 F355 today (after not driving it for 2 months) and tried to start it. It turns over freely but never gives the indication of trying to start. It's like no fuel or spark. No smell of fuel either. Does anyone have a clue where I should start (and finish)? I need to try and move it this weekend.

Try and find out if it's fuel or ignition. If no smell of petrol, then it sounds like a fuel supply problem?

You are sure you locked then unlocked the doors to disable the immobilizer?

I suggest getting a 5 gallon gas can and putting some gas in the tank. Then turn the key to the "on" possition and wait for the fuel system to pressurize. You will know when the pumps stop buzzing. THEN try it and see what happens.

Plenty of gas and no buzzing.

Try checking the fuses to see if anything has blown. I'm almost possitive that you should hear the fuel pumps pressurizing the system.

Mine won't start either. Was driving for a couple of minutes and it suddenly died. Electrics working fine but won't fire. The throttle suddenly went a bit loose so I think the throttle cable has become disconnected or snapped. without tension in the throttle fuel will cutoff. They're picking up the car on monday so i'll report back then.

Interesting that there are 2 threads with identical problems.

I suspectfuel pump fuse/relay or weak battery. First of all, the alarm is a Kill switch that will not allow the car to even "crank" so that's not it. When you turn the key "on" the idiot lights should come on and you will hear the fuel pump pressurize - then stop. If you don't hear it, then the fuse or relay are bad. If you do hear it but it continues to run, that means it can not build up enough pressure. That could be not enough amps or a bad fuel pump.

Suggest you charge the battery and replace or swap the fuse and relay. It's seen a long time (and I'm guessing) but I think the fuse is in the footwell and the relay is in the trunk...check the owners manual to be sure of the location.

A 1995 does not have a factory immobilizer or alarm.

    Hi,
Yes the next reply notes that the 95 doesn't have an alarm system. The battery is fine strong turn over. After reviewing the wiring schematic (poorly done I might add). I believe that the problem lies in the circuitry that starts the pumps. I plan to circumvent this be jumping a couple of contacts as noted in the manual to test pump pressure. This will eliminate anythning from the ecu to the pumps. If this proves ok I will need to start reviewing all possible branches. It's interesting since it appears that since their are 2 pumps, 2 fuses, 2 relays, yet no fuel the problem should lie somewhere before these things that after. The odds of both going out simultaneously are slim as for as I'm concern (possible though). I did check the fuse and they are ok. I will test the relays soon and reply and that when I get the information. Too bad theres not a better wiring diagram available. I had a DeTomaso Pantera that an electrical engineer reworked the factory diagram to make it useable (it was great). If anyone out there has any more direct information I would love to hear from you.

I still don't have the silver bullet. I believe the fuel pumps are not powering on. Check fuses and everything ok. Seems very odd both relays should go south simultaneously. Willing to listen to any thoughts anyone has.

OK guys, it was the Fuel Pump Fuse Relay had burnt out. Something to do with a new amplifier my audio guys had fitted. I thought I heard the fuel pump pressurizing but it was actually the oil pump/heater or something that i could hear. The garage fixed it in minutes....

This sounds like my problem except I see I have 2 fuel pump relays in my owners manual. Is there a universal one that I don't see?
