So I have pulled my engine and after a year plus of life getting in the way, I am in the final stretch of getting my car back on the road. I am an amateur at this but have been learning a lot along the way…including documenting where things go. One that was missed is the part below. Trying to figure out where it installs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

Wild guess, maybe the wire to the starter soleoid? large wire for main current, small wire for ignition switch activation?

    Just a guess though.

I would recommend that you check the condition of the black outer hose. In post #4 you can see a silicone hose that is there to protect the wires from the excessive heat of the exhaust headers. The wire route is from the alternator to the starter and the headers are right in front and the engine block is right in back. These wires need heat protection. The silicone sleeve serves that purpose.

I believe they got changed on later cars to the braided outer sleeve from the silicon

Wow, that picture of the wiring brings back bad memories! Mine got fried against the headers years ago.

Looks like you got a Black Mamba there, plus a maple leaf, a cricket, maybe a piss-ant, and a partial dog turd.

Thanks! I am having an issue on the wiring. I get how the main cable connects but I have several smaller electrical clips and insure what connects to the alt. Or connects to each other. Does anyone have a diagram. I can’t find one for the life of me.

There should be a circuit diagram in the handbook
