    was wondering if anyone knows any good model car shops in the California? Chicago and New York?

    I hope someone here can prove me wrong, but there are none in Chicago, I have looked for a long time and haven't found any.

    You are sort of right... The Motorsport Collector has been in nearby Downer's Grove for many years. Check the website or call before visiting.

    As for New York I'm not aware of any since Exoticar on Park Ave closed a year or two ago. Many years ago there was a real treasure in Jacques Vaucher's shop but he moved out to the country in Texas. He's quite a character having driven formula cars and managed Chinetti's showroom in Manhattan.
