    Greetings on Memorial Day,

I am in the process of renovating the underbody of my 93 512TR, now I need to locate specialty nuts & bolts that either are missing or broken, attached is a photo of the nuts that I need, can anyone make a suggestion. I have the part number, the problem this is a swiss car and other TR models seem to have a different configuration.

    Any suggestion's would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Larry

    Hi,

Sorry traveling for several weeks. Attached are some new photos of the nuts that I need, in the manual parts number is listed as:

    #1464848490

It is basically a nut with an extra part added with 2 bendable wings to hold it into the "Front motor cover" it requires 3 each.

The car is a 93 model has 12,400 miles, I purchased in Switzerland 14 years ago. Hopefully the photos are of a better quality this time.

    Thanks, Larry

Larry I think you added two extra numbers in the PN above. I think you mean PN 14648490 (#45 in this diagram Ferrari 512TR Parts : Table 107 - CARPET FOR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT AND INSULATION PANELS). I would try Ricambi, T. Rutland and definitely try FerrParts, they have a lot of original hardware in stock. Or like Phil said, maybe another application uses the same type. It looks like you could fabricate the cage fairly easily with spring steel so it would snap in and retain the square nut. This is similar: Ferrari Testarossa 328 348 355 456 512TR 6mm Captive Nut | eBay though may be wrong size (this is M6). Good luck with your search, I hope you can come up with something that will work.
