    Hey guys

I am new on the 612 page - I have a 430 and a CS and am usually there. There is a 2007 612 gray with 2000+ miles with Bordeau interior at the Collection in Miami - love the look. I need a new car like a hole in the head but have never had a 12 cyl and can't get this car out of my head. All you owners know how that goes. It looks way over priced but of course that is only the asking price - any of you in the know could you give me an idea of what a "good deal" on this car be? In this financial mkt, I am not going to buy anything that is not a good buy. Thanks
    John

Tough car to price... not many around...

    my WAG... assuming decently optioned...

    140 spectacular deal
    155 great deal
    170 good deal
185 average deal / current market

Curious what others have to say...

NOTE: I don't think any used 612 (except 612 Kappa) is worth over 200 today...

Dealer pricing is going to be north of end user to end user pricing, but you probably already know that. At least from a dealer you can get the 1 year Powercube warranty tacked on to any car you buy from them. From my review of the marketplace here is what I'm seeing

    2005 - 150-175k
    2006 - 165-185k
    2007 - 210-240k
    2008 - 275-325k

The 2005's are out of warranty and the 06's will probably be coming out this year. Not completely sure why there is such a large jump between 06 and 07's but there is. Probably with updated radio, transmission and a few others - that and it just needs to be priced between 2008 and 2006. 08's also have a wide straddle because some 08's have the glass roof and some dont. 09's aren't suppose to hit until march/april and theoretically that should place some more downward movement on existing models. That might not be the case now since there are so few 612's, and the ones coming in all have names attached to them (OTO).

Also, with 06 and 07 models there is the GTC/GTS package which can influence the pricing a bit (although it doesn't look like it).

So, is that a "great deal" - well a great deal is if you feel you got a great one and you extracted everything you wanted. that's for you to decide.

While I agree with you on all three (as those are great deals), I seriously doubt 185 is "market" for 2007 612's no matter how configured (unless it was an accident or ridiculously high mileage).

Since its pretty obvious where the 05's and 06's, and there are so many of those floating around - its pretty obvious the 07's are going to be north of that. I haven't seen any 07's that have gone less than 200 and certainly not from a dealer.

Thanks for your help - the 612 I am talking about, has the glass roof and the GTC package and 1790 miles - so for a dealer, do you think 230 would be a very good deal?

You can certainly try. Personally I would think thats a great deal, but I doubt the dealer will let it go for 230 if it has a glass roof. Are you sure it was an 07 with a glass roof ? My understanding is that the glass roof came in 2008 and some had them in 08 and some didn't. There were a lot of owners who didn't take their early year 2008 because it didn't have the glass roof that came in the latter half of 2008. Didn't know any 2007's had any of the glass roofs - although I might be wrong.

    Doesn't appear to. http://www.ferrariusa.com/detail?template=/ferrari_importer/hitlistdetail&vid=14395506&make=12&model=1951&franchise=12&lang=en&country2=US&curr=USD&odounit=miles&vids=13879363,14395506,14359360,14446929,14478204&vidindex=1&starthit=5

$270 is, um, optimistic on their part. I'd say anything under $230 is good, but remember, there's still a long way down for these to go...

Edit - the 08 at Ferrari BH is a similar color combo and potentially a much better buy (as is the 07 in Grey/Cuoio at Boardwalk)

The glass roof came along in May - June of 2008. I think there were very few 612s built in 2008 which didn't have it, since they stopped building 612s early in the year (or even late 2007) to focus on the Sessanta.

If the car has a glass roof and is an early 2008 or late 2007 build, it's probably a Sessanta, in which case it would be interesting to see how much it goes for. I haven't heard of any Sessanta sales yet.

Call a few dealers and ask for the sales manager. Tell him your interested in selling your '07 612 w/2K mi. and would like an idea of what it can fetch in today's market. My guess, under 170K. Bottom line....If the incentive is not substantial no one is writing a check for anything.

Are you referring to advertised or actual sale prices?

I would say actual prices. While I'm not privy to all the data out there, I don't know of ANY 2007 private sales that was at 170 for an 2007 F612. If you do - pray tell. . . Speaking to an exotic car dealer the other day - he said dealers were asking WHOLESALE on the 2007 somewhere around 215. So, if dealers are getting rid of their 2007 stock that they themselves don't want north of 200, then you can fairly say there is NO market for 07 612s at 170. . .

Let me put it this way - if there are people selling 2007 612's out there in same condition (top condition, low mileage) at 170K - I'll buy two of them today. Just look at the 05's and 06's and you'll know 2007 is unrealistic at 170. That doesn't mean it wont get there in the next few months - just that it isn't there now.

270 is way out for an '07. I paid a few K more than that about 9 months ago for an '08 with 300 miles, bose GTC but no glass roof. I'd be suprised in this market to get a bid at 230 on my car now...

Well, that all depends on the owner's situation and if they truly want to sell. One way or the other the market is only going in one direction, down. As mentioned, no one I'm aware of is writing checks unless the car in question is offered at current market which is wholesale. A few weeks ago I was offered an immaculate '06 612 w/2K mi and GTC package for 150K. I believe I can find another at that price if your interested in two.

Your changing the years. Big difference between 06 and 07. 06's are all coming out of warranty, most don't have f1 superfast, and the new info/nav. 150 for 06 is not out of the realm. now if you have an 07 at 170 - sure. Remember we're talking 07's here and not 06. 08's without glass are probably pretty close to 07's. 08's with glass are commanding a premium above that (prob 250-275)

Want to find out what wholesale really is? May I suggest you follow instructions in post #10, I think you'll be quite surprised.

This is great advice and where the rubber meets the road. Then go up 15% from there and you will be at a fair transaction value.

Wow - Too bad they did not put it on e-bay cause they are going for more than that!

The guy asked for a highly optioned almost new 62 at a Premier Dealership. The response was more like re: s550 clean!

Bottom fishing on a Ferrari grinds on me! Supply economics by Ferrari - what other brand is only making what is sold and not lowering the price or its work force?

Embrace the greatest brand in the world vs generic brands
