I posted this on the TR section but no response, so I'll try here. The outside mirror on my 86 TR has 2 motors in it. I can get the mirror to move up and down but I can't get it to move to the left (I can get it to move to the right). Does anyone know how to get to those motors? Do you just somehow pry the mirror off? I suspect the technique would be the same for many other Ferrari models. Many thanks.

    KatMan,

I just happen to have a 1988 TR Mirror, with two good motors.
    (In need of the glass.)
It is very similar to my Mondial 8 Mirrors.
You place two paint stir sticks under the glass.. Then pry straight up.

Three Ball joints will pop loose from their round spring housings.

    See photo, of Mondial Mirror

    Good Luck,

    KatMan,

    I double checked tonight, ,
you have only Two ball joints to pop out, in your TR mirror..

    Again, with two popsicle sticks.

    Good luck,

See the two round spots on the rear frame,
    1988 TR mirror
    that's the two ball sockets.

(The two balls are stuck on the mirror back.)

They hold the glass, and spin to change height, ,
    changing glass direction.

    Good Luck,
    Edwardo
