Dang it, I just got nabbed for 40 in a 30 zone on Alton Road this am in south beach. There's no speed limit signs on Alton until 8th street where they are posted as 35mph???

Anyways has anyone had any experience with these traffic ticket clinic/lawyers? Some offer money back guarantees.... I wonder if they are just playing the numbers (i.e. collecting the checks for when the officer fails to show)

    Here's two of them:

    Thanks a lot.

iv had experience with a few different lawyers..hows your record? if you live where you got the ticket, you are better off just taking the ticket to court and trying 2 get it reduced yourself...request a court hearing, they will reduce your ticket or drop it depending upon your record...if you represent yourself, they will definetely atleast take it off your record (give you no points), have you go to traffic school or just reduce the ticket amount...if you hire a lawyer, they will do the same thing you can get done yourself but u have to pay them lawyer fees, courts fees and w/e else they throw at you...

Mark Gold is the Atty for The Ticket Clinic. He's a fellow F-car owner, and a good guy. Give him a call.

simple, if you have proof (video) that there is no speed limit sign you may stand a chance. Of course there is plenty of signs driving into MB so you should not expect to say well on Meridian between 800 and 820 is no speed limit sign so I can go 110Mph. The simple sign at the entrace to MB says in MB 35 is the limit or 30 if it is in the neighborhood and not otherwise posted.
So, that said, you may still have a chance based on your record.

I have had good experience with ticket attorneys and if you don't have the time to go yourself, hire them. Presently the courts are very much involved in getting the police officers to Court. Chances that you will see your guy are pretty good. Make your case and hope for the best. Its America.

I have always (many times) used The Ticket Clinic. I work with their senior attorney Ted Hollander. email: [email protected] . I have never had any points placed on my record nor go to traffic school. You do have to pay court costs. Good luck.

Ticket attorneys are the way to go!
Leave it to the professionals: if you have never been in this predicament, you should hire one and then go yourself as well: it is educational and you will understand why you should leave it to an attorney.

I wanted to give some follow-up on my ticket that I received in Feb.
I decided to fight this on my own. I sent in the letter requesting a trial, and I haven't heard from them since.
I have been checking the miami-dade county clerk website every couple of weeks to check my record via driver's license # and by ticket #...nothing!
I even went to the clerk office here on Washington Ave at 2nd street and they have me request to fight the ticket, but nothing else.
It's been 6 months and according to traffic law, they can't pursue me any further now. I wonder what happened?

By the way, be very careful of Alton Road south of 5th street. They have been running laser nearly every day. Most often they are checking speeds on drivers that are on Alton northbound (they usually hide at 4th street).

Speedtrap exchange----especially good for travelling out of town or state,.....though I forgot to check this site before my weekend getaway to Colo. & got nabbed on the east side of Eisenhower tunnel (I-70, west of Denver) doing 68 in a 50 zone. Had license out & window rolled down as Trooper approached, obviously admitted guilt; he returned with $50. ticket and thanked me for my courtesy and cooperation. And sure enough, this site pointed this location out (only because someone took the time to enter it in); I sent in feedback on this location as well with my experience. State troopers in Colo. are very professional, and courteous if you are.
    I'd say we're both lucky!

Kinda different twist, but, anybody know if you get a ticket in, say, March, then take the course, then get another ticket in, say, NOW. Will the State of FL allow you to take another course, and be spared of points? Or is it max of one course per yr? Cant figure it out, cuz keep getting those post cards for traffic school. Do they know that "that person" got another ticket back in, say, March(hehe)??

I think it is one traffic court course allowance every 18 months to avoid points, but a good attorney can get the judge to change it so you dont get points in exchange for paying a fine and taking the course again.

As long you havent gotten tons of tickets and driven drunk or killed someone the courts just want to get the money.

PS. Watch out on I95 between Blue Heron and PGA, the cops hang out there everyday and I always see them giving tickets at lunchtime and on my way home.
I only have to go one exit, so I get in the right lane to exit and slow down to about 50 so they cant try to say that someone else was me, since all the other cars are passing me.

    Thanks,

Well, the court's gonna get their money anyway, but the difference is whether I get to take the course or not, ya see? A lawyer is $500, and not guaranteed.
PS was in Tallahassee, not I 95. And only one other ticket. Maybe Ill just sign up for the course, for $19.99, and see if they let it through?

A big thanks to Mark and the folks at The Ticket Clinic. I just received notice that my case was taken care of and no points or conviction were assessed.

The "There was no posted speed limit sign" defense does not work...... if a city / municipal road (Alton Road) is not posted the maximum speed is 30mph...if not posted.
