Help Please - Passenger Door Not Opening

This is a video showing removal of the door panel, and some of the insides with the locking mechanism.

You might need to "slim jim" the door lock, and knowing what is inside there might be helpful to do that. I don't think the door panel will remove with the door close, you need to remove that small screw to get the second from the top trim paoff, the rest would be removalable with the door closed. Maybe you can get some long nose pliers and try to remove that key little screw with the door closed?

Sounds like you have a broken cable, or the plasticpiece that hold the cable to the lock broke.

 

Is the door locked or unlocked - can you move the outer/inner doorhandles to their open position or not?

When you say "passenger side," that means something different in the UK and the USA, it helps to tell us where you are. Although the door mechanisms are identical, I'm just asking people to give us more info about their specific location model so we can help you better!

 

Long time since i had a mondial but i seem to remember you can remove the black plastic surround, around the internal handle, will give you access to the opening linkage
