Right now the Old Timer Grand Prix on Nürburgring is on — and during the night a friends Porsche 356 A from 1956 was stolen from the parking lot of Hotel Hohe Acht. There's a lot of people here who have their fingers on the pulse and some big networks. Please keep an eye out for this precious Porsche. The owner is heartbroken and completely guttet. The cars features; Historic black numberplate: H12 356, custom chrome rims with center nut, Sebring exhaust, Les Lestun steering wheel and cup seats. If anyone see, hear or knows something, please contact me via PM. Please help the poor owner get his priced possession back in the garage.

It's probably tucked away until things blow over. You can't be too careful where you leave them. There had to be video cameras around? Unfortunately if thieves want your car they can get it. Hope he gets it back.

There was an article in the LA Times recently about a guy that had an Austin Healey stolen back in the '60's and found it for sale at an LA dealer recently. Same VIN etc. that hadn't been tampered with. He got it back. Never give up digging on it and he'll get it back.

    Here's the article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/15/robert-russell-found-stolen-austin-healy-car-ebay-years-theft_n_1674198.html

Beautiful car -- I will definitely keep an eye out for it if it makes it to the States.

You might post the chassis number here.

My brother-in-law's uncle is also really into his Porsches and I believe he's on the committee for a local enthusiast club in the States (in Virginia? Can't quite remember)... anyway, if we can get the VIN / chassis number then I'll pass that along to him too. Every open eye helps.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
