Hello, Can anyone help me with an iformation How can i remove a steel rivet ,and how can i mount a new steel rivet. I saw many rivet pistols (pneumatic hydraulic) i don't now what is the best for the steel rivet. Did anybody change a steel rivet in a 360 or a 430?
What I do to remove rivets is using a small steel drill bit. Go to home depot and buy new pistol and this is how you use it; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTZAucoSymk&feature=youtube_gdata_player
What style rivet are you refering to? Solid, tubular (similar to a "pop" rivet)? Getting the old one out is the easy part... just drill it out (drill bit is the same or ever so slightly smaller dia. than the rivet body dia). This assumes that you can get the drill and bit into position to drill straight. Some times you can grind/cut the head (if not a c'sink head) or the expanded portion off and knock the rivet out with a drift pin. Installation of the new rivet depends on the type of rivet... I am sure a web search can show you options. Good luck!!!
I mean the steel rivet that are in 360 on the floor http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?V=diag&I=618 I have searched the internet but if somebody did this thing on a Ferrari i would like to know what kind of pistol did he use (pneumatic hydraulic) Thank You for all the answers
