Does anyone know the method for removing the console piece in the attached photo? (with the white "O" on it). I've removed the plate that bolts to it on the left side of the passenger's feet and I stuck my head behind there and saw (2) 8 mm nuts in the lower center, which I also removed, but that didn't seem to loosen it up at all. As you can see, a prior owner had something bolted to it and I want to get it recovered. Thanks in advance!! Jerry.

It comes out with the entire center console.

There is one nut at the top of the piece too, the secures it to the main dash body. It's a little tough to get at. I do believe that the entire console must come out as one unit as Rifledriver says. You will probably have to remove the seats first, but they have only 4 allen bolts each. And the seat belt clasps may need loosening or removing. I'm going from memory here so I may be wrong. And there will be some bolts places like the storage box area, under the shifter plate, etc. Just go slow and don't pry on anything. There are a lot of wires in the console so be aware of that. Removing the entire console wasn't too bad a job as I recall.

It actually is not a bad job. The seats don't have to come out but I think it is an easier job if they are out of the way. You can kneel in there and with all the tools you will be using in there you won't have to worry about damaging the leather. I have done it a hundred times if you run into anything that gives you trouble PM me.
