Well... I think that buying such a great car like a GTO is before everything a matter of passion,of personnal tastes...

If you start to talk about resale value, and if you ask if that color is right or wrong,I simply suggest to buy the combo you love, wich will please yourself.

If you can afford such a car, Resale value must not be a problem.

And sorry , but the "Two mouths ago" is hilarious.

Simply chose the combo you love !!! it's not other people who can explain you your own tastes ...

Look at all the combos and colors, there are already many pics on internet,on this forum, you can even use the configurator.

If you love white , go white !!!

Choose what you prefer. That's simple. Don't ask other people. You are gonna drive the car, not us.

Personnaly , I would choose Rosso Corsa, with nero roof , not Flat or grey. Simple black.

That can look fantastic with black wheels.

    Those are my tastes.

Now , Look at pics, make up you mind, order the car and ENJOY.

The Rossa is the std. I would go with the other choice as it seems you picked that. Plus if you ever worry about re-sale make a note to PM me :)

Bianco fuji/avus and some sort of blue stripe or another does look very nice a la the OFM. Personally, I'm a big fan of rosso fuuco and was wondering how this would look with a white stripe :)

To be honest, if you are spending this much money on a car, buy exactly what you want and the enjoyment you derive will be that much greater!

No doubt, you should go for the white one. But not the blue racing livery. I think bianco avus with matt black roof, black wheels and yellow calipers would be awesome. Just my point of view:)

I think you can now get blue callipers - wonder what white / tdf stripe / standard wheels /blue callipers would look like?

I looked at those when we were at Atelier......the blue was a different shade to TDF......so I decided against them.......still not sure whether I should finalize yellow calipers or go black calipers with the black wheels...

Go with what your hart tells you to go with. If you buy this car with your hart (and not your brain / wallet / resale value in mind) that is the only right thing to do.

If white gives you that feeling of "waaw" and makes your hart pump faster ... then white it is ;)

In my opinion, if I was you (with your choices), I would go with Rossa Corsa. No original factory GTO wore the white and blue combination that is available for the 599GTO. The car that most famously wore that combination was a Testa Rossa. If you want to go with a race livery, go with the sliver with yellow hood stripe. This combination was worn by 4153GT (a series 1 250GTO). However, it is your money and you should do what you want. If it helps I think any race liveried GTO will have a better resale than a standard color car. Just look to the Challenge Stradale, and 430 scuderia values. Look at the Stradales with stripes, versus cars with out the stripe. If both cars are identical save for the stripe, the striped car will be more expensive/worth more.

    I hope that helps.

Ferrari seems to be pushing the white GTO as a recommended choice. From the Ferrari magazine Nr.9 in action and also with Dario>
White has become a more accepted Ferrari color especially with the 458 models. So far less so with the 599 but the GTO seems to be turning that around.

Same thing happened to me. I also got confused whether to but the carbon fibre option on the side or keep it the same color paint. tx
