Help this beeping is driving me crazy!

    I have a 2001 550 Maranello. There is a random beeping sound that seems to go away when the clutch is disengaged (clutch pedal to the floor). It is a different pitch than the seatbelt fasten sound and seems to come and go without any discernable pattern. Even after shutting down the car the beeping can still be heard. I haven't had a chance to take it in to get checked out and have gone through the manual many times to no avail. I was about a quart low on oil before topping it off...any connection?

    It sounds like morse code.

    Any ideas???

    Could be the backup battery for your alarm system is dying?

    Also...do you have any aftermarket stereo equipment in the car?

    No, no aftermarket audio. I'll check the back up battery, though. Thanks.
