I have been trying for a month to get my 488 Challange race car from Thermal CA 92274 to Bethel Connecticut 06801. I first tried Uship which was completely ridiculous. They set up times to pick up and never showed up twice, then I tried Montway. They sent a multi level car carrier..twice! Fat chance getting this car up on those stupid racks. Every driver so far didn't speak word of english (what country are we in?) and always blamed the dispatch department for the mix up. I requested a 4 car lift gate equipped enclosed trailer and it seems no one can figure it out. I have moved about 30 cars across country with no issue and this seems to be almost impossible. Anyone with a 2 car trailer heading east? Any suggestions on a reputable race carrier? I have quotes from 20 different carriers now but I don't trust any of them. I have no issue paying for the right service. Should be about $2,500 enclosed, insured and lovingly delivered. WTF?

Does Thermal have any suggestions? They should deal with transporting cars frequently.

Pete, give me a call. I have a fantastic relationship with Plycar. They’re an incredible company. I’ll hook you up.

FWIW, I use a broker that I've used for 17 years who has been in business for 30+ that sub-contracts out to private transporters with sufficient insurance to cover exotic cars going from coast to coast.

    - I pay the broker fee
    - We set a price depending on how quickly we need it transported
    - Set method (open, enclosed)
    - Set pickup date
    - They verify license, insurance, contact info and pickup date
    - I relay info to seller when required

And they move fast. You skip dealing with the bigger companies and their $$ overhead. You can communicate directly with the driver and they have always delivered with zero issue.

I only had a pickup issue once with the BMW 135i. Seller was out of town for work and left the vehicle with his mother. Keys were left in the vehicle and instructions were to not disturb the occupant. Well the keys were not left with the vehicle so they had to knock. No answer. Knocked again, no answer. Called me, I called the seller, who then called his mother. No answer. They called her again. Finally she opened the door and literally threw both sets of keys at the driver and slammed the door. HAHA!

For the open carriers there will likely be drop-offs or pick-ups during the route requiring the car to be shuffled off and back on but I'm comfortable with that

I've had to wait no longer than 2 days for the pickup. Transport times listed out below.

Jaguar XJR from FL to CA (open), 5 days
Toyota Supra and Nissan GT-R from CA to CO (enclosed), 2 days
Toyota Supra from MD to CO (open), 3 days
F430 from FL to CO (enclosed), 3 days
BMW 135i from FL to CO (open), 4 days
Pontiac GTO from CA to CO (open), 3 days

I was recently quoted $1450 enclosed plus broker fee to transport my M5 enclosed from Buffalo NY to Denver CO a month ago. I opted to fly out and road trip back instead stopping by relatives in Pittsburgh for New Years Eve and New Years Day.
