    I know this has been asked before .....ok, I am a novice at the whole photo-shop thing. That being said, I have attempted to upload photos to this site and have been unable to understand how to decrease the file size. What are the steps to reducing the size or format in order to fit w/in the parameters?

    Just as an fyi - I open "manage attachments" browse my pictures select "open" and then get a rejection notice for to large.

    Thank you and keep it simple for the "photo-shop for dummies" approach,

    Do you have Adobe Photoshop? If so, I can tell you how to do it in a few easy steps plus how to increase the apparent quality of your photos.

    Venusone, I don't have that format.

    I guess I'll try Modena/Quartermaster's free "formats" and give it a go at and if that dosen't work I'll send you a PM on your suggestion.

    If you have XP---go to Microsoft website and download the PowerToy--image resizer--it is a free download--works great

    I just use IrfanView. It is the fastest basic photo-editing software I know of.
