Please see photos of a part I found in the front footwell of the drivers side of my 1995 456GT. Photos show from each side with pencil to help with size.

Everything "seems" to be working, but obviously something must not, but I cant see where it come from.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Affirmative, used for a long time (part number of 133555 shows how old) from the 348/512 TR through the F430. $18.75 from Ricambi.

Looks like a Fiat part... :). Only plastic and all clicked together.
Maybe if the switch is adjusted a little too close to the pedal, and if you release the brake a little too quickly then the black part can probably be pushed out of the switch - although the little spring and sleeve in that pin are to protect it from that. It probably just came apart from old age and a little heat from what looks like a poor contact. I would replace it no matter what. As an emergency fix you may be able to reassemble it, as long as the white holder is still intact and you have all the parts (there must be a spring in there somewhere too).
