    The use of the outside-laced wheels is inconsistent AFAIK. For example some of the pontoon TR58's used them, some don't. The TR60 used them but the SWB and GTO didn't. Then the 250 LM and 275 GTB/C did use them.

    I've noticed the exact same thing. This seema to apply to other makes as well. Someone out there must know more about wheels and why outside-laced wires might be preferred for certain models/situations and not for others.
