First I took the pass. side actuator that has two wires to it and tested it, I grounded one terminal and apply 12V to the other and the actuator moved down (lock) I then reversed the polarity and again it moved up (unlock) So this tell me that the pass. side actuator is good, Am I right?

Now the pics below is the driver side actuator, I've used the test light to see which one has power and seems like only the white with red stripe wire has the 12V, the rest nothing. I tried moving the actuator down and see if the power 12V will transfer to another terminal, and still nothing. No matter what I do with driver side actuator I could not make it to move nor activate the pass. side. I don't know if I'm testing this the right way but if somebody know how to test this please chime in. So is my actuator bad and if so, does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks.

Black wire is ground, the terminal with test prod is incoming voltage and should always be hot. Other connector, with white and blue wires goes to passenger side.

I was able to find the schematic below from the 1987 Mondial Manual. Odds are it's very similar even though wire colors are different. M is the 'motor' actuator, and there are two switches. You didn't mention what doesn't work or the year model car, so I can only hope this provides some insight.

What ever came of this Mike? Did you get it working? Did you get it apart?

My drivers side door wont lock when I put the key in the passenger door and turn it. Should this lock the drivers door as well as the passenger door?

    thanks,
    Aaron

My car has the same behaviour, not sure if it's normal or not.

If you need new actuator, contact FerrParts. I bought a new driver side actuator from them. Ask for Patrick.

So its suppose to lock the drivers door then. I think I will have to break mine open and have a look.

Both doors should lock/unlock if either door is locked/unlocked with the key. If either does not then the actuator or the wiring/connections are faulty.

Oops - should have noted that the above is the way the 328 works; I ASSUME it is the same on the 308 but don't know that for sure.

For info, on the Mondial QV '83, which seems to have the same actuators:

    - only the driver's door key can lock the pax door
    - the pax door key only locks/unlocks the pax door
    - the driver's interior door lock tab locks the pax door
    - on my car, the pax interior door lock tab does NOT lock the driver's door.
(there are no "signal" wires going back from the pax door to the driver's door; only 2 power wires from the driver's side to the pax side)

It seems to me that the driver's door "actuator" (grey) is only a switch controlling the pax door actuator (black) via either the key or the internal tab.
