Hi A friend is interested in this car but lives in another state. Does anyone have any information about this car? the dealership? and anyone who might be able to do a PPI? Thanks http://www.sportauto.cc/inventory_ferrari/october05fer99blue/index.htm
The only thing I can tell you is that I bought my car from SportAuto and it was a 355 great people to deal with the car was everything it was advertised to be. Martin
He should look at this car http://www.hemmings.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/classifieds.cardetail/id/2278639/xfa_returnpage/quicksearch.classifieds-keyword-pozzi/
Why is it that people often write questions on behalf of their "friends". Why can't the friend ask directly? Just curious. Tim
I took a ride in this car, and have looked it over a bit last week. The transmission is very smooth. The car sounds fantastic. The color and paint are very nice. There were no dents or dings that I saw, and to be honest, it is visually stunning. The center console has the usual bubbling in the panel that has the climate control dials (that really bugs me about 355s). That was the only defect I could see in the interior, which did not appear to have any dash shrinkage. The interior was the best of the 3 F355's they had at the time. Keep in mind that I did not go over it as if I were going to purchase it. But I have had good relations with the dealer, my friend just bought a car there, and I don't think they would misrepresent anything. I have also read positive things about them on this forum. Another guy that had driven a long way to visit them (and has a long history with exotics) looked at the car with me (no sales folks around) and thought it was one of the nicest 355's he had seen. I wish I had known, or I could have looked it over more carefully! They are 2 hours away, so not too easy to get back.
My friend registered as "Silverbear", however he was unable to post a message for some reason. Hopefully, the system has accepted his registration and you'll see him on this board soon.
This is not an endorsement nor a detraction... They will be the first to tell that they don't have a good history with Foreign Cars Italia (the F-dealer) down there ...something about their respective owners... Having gone down to FCI to see a car, that's not saying much. The problem comes when you need a PPI done. Unless you can find another place to get a PPI, you've got a problem. There are a bunch of guys here who bought from Sport Auto and loved them. They could point you in the right direction. Good luck... it looks like a sweet car.
Sport Auto is a highly-respected dealership in the NC area. They are the factory-authorized Lambo dealer for NC/SC, and they also buy/sell/service Ferraris as well. I have personally purchased two cars from them (a Ferrari and a BMW). Tom Jones does their Ferrari service work, and I trust no one more. Sport Auto will only represent the nicer examples in their Ferrari inventory, and they will provide exceptional customer service and maintenance for their customers. Great guys and a wide inventory. - Brian C
Hello, This is Steve from Sport Auto. I saw this post and I normally don't chime in when people ask for opinions about me/us. I did want to give you some more info on this car though since you asked. This is the nicest F355 spider we have had in a long time. Normally with F355s we all know the dash will shrink, the controls get sticky and all the other issues are there. THIS car on the other hand must have lived in a bubble. The interior is as near new as I have ever soon on a car with any miles. The car has had a service and there are not any oil leaks or exhaust issues with the car, and of course it was built after the valve guide issue. We don't have the best arrangement with the local Ferrari dealer, but that is solely because the owner of my store also founded and owned the Ferrari dealer for many years. He sold that store back in the late nineties and we started a smaller ,and I think better store ,where we can pick and choose each and every car. Please feel free to give me a call at 336.202.7291 ( my direct line ) if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks again, Steve PS...search in the NC/SC section and you can find out more about us and others opinions
