Hi guys, I'm looking at adding a 2006 Gallardo spider to my garage. Is there any major issues with these cars I should make sure to inquire about when looking! Any issues with headers, electricals? Is the major service done every 5 years? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is it a e-gear? If it is get it checked to see how much is remaining. That's probably the biggest normal wear item. Of course if it's a manual, also check it with all the usuall PPI stuff.

Yes it is. 75% clutch remaining. I've driven a LP 560/4 and enjoyed it. This one has I believe 510 HP. How will this compare to my 430? Will it shift like the lp560/4?

The LP560 is a better all around car. More HP, better shifting and handling. I don't mind the shifting of a Gallardo. I like to feel the shifts and don't mind the clunky e-gear. Lamborghini calls all the action of a shift the "emotion". The Gallardo should preform slightly better than your F430 but I don't know not having driven a 430. The Gallardo has a lot of torque and it's available a lot. A car really easy to drive fast. The LP560 was a big leap forward and you should drive a Gallardo to make sure it's not the LP you really want.

I would rather have the LP but they are still not in my budget. I'm looking at the low $100k's so I'm going to have to wait a bit longer. Maybe with the replacement coming out next year they will drop a little.
