    The new capristo deletes the middle pipe completely and claims a 20 bhp increase, they also claim enhanced reliability. Interesting.

    I used the one shown on this website:

    The actual internal diameter of this tap was 2mm, so I drilled it out to 3mm to match the tubes on the car. Don't know if this would make any difference. Please note that if you want the bypass valve open full time, you have to turn the knob while the engine is off (with the bypass valve flap open), otherwise you will seal the vacuum in and prevent the valve from opening at all!

    yes, totally rattle free, but the diaphragm failed and I'm waiting for a replacement.

    I have over a year, and 5k plus miles, no rattles. The design incorporates a tensioned spring on each end of the spindle the valve rotates on, prevening rattles. It is a nice design.
