Hi all, Am just in process of buying a gallardo!!! (Which i'm very excited about) The only problem is I'm buying a used car and can't find the spec i want. Any thoughts on must have items? I would assume board comp,heated wing mirrors and anti theft are all must haves. Also is it possible to retro fit sat nav and change stearing wheel?? (ie. swap 04 wheel for an 05 -05 model has a gold lambo badge on ) many thanx in advance for you posts! Darren
Darrenk, Please ignore the rude welcome. We're not all that way. You did ask 2 questions. First, IMO, the most useful feature is the front's powered lift. it is not an option but 04 cars do not have it (my only regret for having bought an 04). The glass engine cover is nice to look at but obviously not useful. The power seats and the heated seats (you're from the UK, right ?) are good in cold climates so are the heated mirrors. I like my silver calipers they go well with the wheels. I thought the anti-theft option is standard, at least here in the US. It looks like the center cover of the steering wheel is part of the airbag. You could probably have that changed to the 05+ new ones but at an enormous cost. You could also purchase a gold embossed shield and stick it on (I have seen them on EBay). The OEM NAV unit can be retrofittedbut my dealership strongly discouraged me. An aftermarket unit is the easier way to go. Let us know what you do.

darrenk.... I take it from the term "wing" that you are in the UK....and I don't know the market over there so take my comments for what they are worth. You should buy a new one ordered the exact way that you want it. Considering the nominal cost of the modifications that you want you'd be better of doing it the right way.
I promise to reveal the time when you do. I won't fib! Check your 30mph/rpm number again because I saw 3800 compared to your 4500?? That is a big differance|
