    Hello

I have found a Testarossa for sale and was hoping someone with a carfax account could run a check for me.

    Many thanks!

It should be a 1985 black testarossa

Arthur, 58543 is a black/black spyder conversion done by Straman back in the '90s. Do you have pictures/and or information on this car...? If so, I'm interested in learning whatever's available so that I may add it to my database. Thank you - and good luck with the purchase...! I think a cut conversion Testarossa Spyder is one of the sexiest cars in the world!

Also, thank you arista, for the CarFax information.

IMO, I would NOT hold alot of confidence in Carfax and would rather review service records, PPI, etc....

I looked at a car and Carfax never made mention of body repair, maybe accident, but my careful examination of chassis, etc revealed it....

I think that a carfax is useful but should only be part of the background research done on the car. It is very possible that something could slip by a Carfax report but it is handy for the things it does catch.

Carfax is completely unreliable. I crushed the passenger side door & it doesn't show up. A good paint or body shop guy can spot any work done.

Not necessarily unreliable but may be incomplete. The information listed on Carfax is limited to the reported information. I would still make it part of ones due diligence prior to purchase.
