360 Help with cats (not the meow type)

    I noticed that my cats have "R" and "L" on the respective ones for each side. It looks like it was written in paint or marker. Is this the way it was from the factory or does this tend to indicate that at some point the cats were either replaced or removed? They look OEM to me. Just wanted opinions. Thanks

    Mine do not have any paint marking on them that I've seen....but I've got a 99 so they were still working out the kinks back then!

    not from factory for sure. It was removed for some job unrelated to cats, most likely. Probably clutch job. Main cats are not known to break down easily.
    And, it looks like my handwirting too.

    Would you please take a look at the 3x bolts the secures the heat shield to the gearbox? How many washers under it?
