    I do not know if the clutch on this car has ever been changed.
    I have the x431 that many have here with the yellow dongle. Software is old 10.22. I've contacted mechanicservice for an update and waiting.

    Anyway, I decided to do some readings to get an idea of how much my clutch possibly has left in it's life. On the X431 I connected using the 430 Challenge/F131E/Gearbox/Marelli Semi Automatic Gearbox System CFC231 and seems to be pretty much the same as the 430/F131E/Gearbox/Marelli Semi Automatic Gearbox System CFC231. So please I know I used the Challenge one but I forgot to use the regular 430 and got screenshots with it. These readings were with the engine off and cold. Readings were taken at night sitting in the garage. Battery connected to Ctek battery tender.

    I've been hearing that the clutch thickness useable from new to worn is 8.5mm Is this correct? Also I saw some people's readings and their Clutch Position Closed from New(CPCN) is in the 18-19mm but mine says 19.49mm. That right? Clutch Position Closed reads 21.94mm. If the CPCN is true then it comes out to 2.45mm worn. Is this correct? so do I calculate it as 2.45mm out of 8.5mm is the percentage worn? 29% Worn and have 71% left of life?

    Clutch Wear Index is showing 2271. From my understanding that is a good thing since it's not showing much slippage and below 3000-4000. The troubling thing is that the PIS is showing 5.57mm. From what I hear that is too high. Is this normal? Car seems to drive fine for me but I do notice some slippage upshifting at high rpm creeping a few hundred rpm before fully engaging next gear up. Is this the reason? Driving normally around town shifting below 4K rpm everything is great. Does the PIS change as the clutch wears or do I need to adjust?

    I do know and haven't tried yet that the version x431 10.22 it won't let me adjust with a decimal but whole number only. Luckily I do have a friend with a 10.80 that has fixed this issue and can use his to adjust PIS. Do I just adjust incrementally down .1mm and check the parameter Clutch Wear Degree with car idling warmed up and dial back once I see/feel clutch kissing?

    Sorry want to make sure before I mess with anything.

    I know some will talk down on the x431 but I've also heard of some good results using it. I just don't want to fork over a boat load for a Leonardo.

    19.49 mm Clutch Position from new, is high.

    I belive the 8.5 mm goes for the 360 and that 430 is 5.6 mm.

    ((CPC - CPCN)/5,6)*100= X %

    My guess is that someone did a reset of CPCN to fake the actual (high) clutch wear..

    My F430 readings a half year ago with my X431:
    CPCN = 17.89 mm and CPC = 18.31 mm, = 7,5% worn.

    Was confirmed with an Leonardo a few weeks ago, now 9% worn clutch.

    To my knowledge, around CPC 22-23mm the clutch is worn out.
