Hey guys, I don't know if anyone has been reading my posts in the tech section about my pertronix set-up, but I was wondering if anyone might have some time to come by my place in Enumclaw to look at the wiring on my coil/pertronix setup. I hope someone has a clear idea of how it is supposed to be wired and can come and point some things out for me. I'll buy you some beer!!!

I'd like to but mines still original so that would leave two of us scratching our heads. Is the pertronix system anything like the Crane system some guys are running? If so you might be able to figure it out from a picture or two??? Just a thought.

Well, I guess it's a moot point since I don't know any Hooters girls. Oh well, I will have to tough this one out on my own. I heard it's going to be nice this weekend so I really want it running!!!!

I'm not familiar with Pertronix, and I have no experience with 308's, but I have a mechanical background, and I'm pretty fair at working on my 348. And I don't drink beer or go to Hooters. I'd be happy to help in any way I can. Do you have a Workshop Manual and a wiring diagram?

    Ummm...No beer, no Hooters....Hmmm...

I don't think I would trust you to work on fine Italian machinery. ;)

I have a GT4 service manual which I understand is pretty much the same for my 78 308. If you have the time, I can always appreciate some assitance.

OK, after all the crap and other B.S. I have been puting myself through with my Pertronix setup, it is finally in and running right. One thing I need to learn from here on out is to NOT jump to conclusions about what may or may not be wrong with my car. So far, all the stuff I thought was wrong with my setup turned out to be something else. Luckily, nothing expensive or tough to put right. I am looking forward to getting it all put back together and on the road. Hopefully I will see you guys at the karting event.

    Thanks for all the advice.

    Glad to hear it.
Somebody told me, always start with the basics, spark, fuel, air.
    See you this spring.
