Hi. I have a 2006 612 and had a minor service. I also had them change the battery. I live in Texas. I got the car back and have driven it about 150 miles - about 75% highway, and 25% street and the car won't pass emissions. It says that the Evap and 2nd Sys are not ready yet. Now, I have had this issue before, but usually when I drive about 100 miles, everything is ready, but not this time. I doubt that either or both of these systems are faulty. I called FMS in AZ where I had it serviced, and they didn't have a "drive schedule" to get it ready for an emissions test. The test place here in TX said just to drive it about 70 miles. I have doubled that and nada. Any ideas would be appreciated? Any specific type of driving I should be doing to get these 2 systems ready - stop and go, street, highway, certain speeds, etc.?

    Thank you.

Also in Texas, I've never been in a situation where 50 miles didn't wake everything up.....I think there is a problem

I don't know this model exactly but typically evap monitors wont set unless the ECU sees over 50% of fuel in the tank secondary o2's can be finicky, sometimes set by a cold start. The general rule of thumb is 50 miles at 55 MPH + the stop and go driving it takes you to get to the highway usually does it. Hope this helps

Most cars have a specific drive cycle to set all the emissions monitors.

I don't know about the 612 but they usually they involve a cold start, specific duration of idling, low-speed driving at a specific speed for a certain number of miles, then some highway driving at a specific speed for a certain number of miles. There can also be requirements to stop half way through the drive cycle, idle for a certain period of time, then shut down car, wait, then restart.

The Evap monitor especially usually requires between 1/2 to 3/4 tank of fuel to set properly.

If you could get the specific drive cycle for a 612 that would be great, otherwise you can probably find some more generic Ferrari drive cycles published on Fchat.

The other thing you should check is if you actually need to have all monitors set to pass?

Here, you can pass with 1 monitor not set, as long as the monitor that is not set isn't the cat or o2 sensor monitor.

Which is good as I've never been able to get my secondary air monitor to set on my F355...
