Gentlemen, My car has had only three owners (including myself) but has an interesting history: The 1st owner was Mr. HG of Lyon, France who bought the car from Charles Pozzi S.A. in November 1985. Mr. HG, a businessman, hardly drove the car. Instead he used it as a display piece in his company showroom. Within a year of buying it, he shipped it to Fort Lauderdale in the USA where it was used for the same purpose a display car that was hardly driven. For the car to comply with US emission rules it was fitted with a catalytic converter (and MPH speedometer) at that time. The first owner ultimately shipped the car back to Europe I believe to Munich, but I may be wrong about this. He sold the car after owning it for seven years and before it had even had its first service. The second owner was Mr. JS who bought the 328 with his business partner (I think Mr. SP) and it became a "company car". The Ferrari had an original 7,200 miles on the clock when they bought it in October 1992. Mr. JS lived in a village outside Munich and this is where the car was kept in a garage until I bought it. I bought the car from Mr. JS in August 2002. I had tracked it down through a company called Dennig Cars Worldwide, based out of Denmark. As you can see, I have been doing some research into my car's history and would now like to speak with the first owner, Mr HG in France. I have searched the internet and come up with a list of people with the same name in Lyon and want to write to them to see if one of them is the right person. MY REQUEST: If I write a template letter in English, is there a talented English-French translator out there who could help me to convert it into good French? The computer based free translators will do a good job on a few words, but a document will throw them for a loop. Try writing a few complex sentences in English, put them in a translator like Babblefish, then reverse the translation back to English. Sometimes it's quite funny.
