Need some help with where the braided steel ground cable attached to the block attaches at the other end. Appears to go to the lug on the back of the alternator where the ground cable from the wiring harness attaches. In spite of my thorough notes and pictures I cannot recall where the cable attaches. The wiring harness cable has a gray plastic housing that encloses the attachment point. Sorry for the poor quality picture.
    Thanks for the help.

The braided ground wire attaches to the lone stud on the back of the alternator, by itself (not shared with any other cables). The other one (red cable) is "hot"...don't attach there. ;)

f355spider, thank you. I believe the red cable does attach as in the photo with a plastic housing that protects the connection.
If I had looked closer I would have realized the ground strap cannot attach to a hot lead, thanks for the heads up!
It appears the ground strap attaches to stud "A" as referenced in the Ferrari parts diagram.
As I was told in my youth, look with your eyes, not your mouth!

Bruce, I am far too high tech for Saran wrap. Semiconductor quality clear plastic poly bags. Nothing but the best for a 355!
