Can anyone tell me what the correct type of hose I should be using from the fuel pump to the carb's? It's item 39 in TAV 7. Many thanks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
"Correct" is a relative term.....but it's cloth braid covered rubber, on my cars. But given modern fuel blends, I would recommend a teflon based replacement...like the kits Ricambi now sells....do they "do" the Dino????
these guys have it, but i am sure you could source it over here http://www.dinoparts.eu/EN/ferrari-246-gt-gts/carburettors-fuel-supply/hoses-more/ Mine is cloth covered braided fuel line. Tony
Big tex is correct the hose is cloth covered. However be careful because we used some cloth covered hose when we did #03666 and it ended up leaking. You need to be certain that it is fuel hose (meaning re-enforced) and not vapour hose which is usually thin wall rubber. The vapour hose will stand up to neither fuel pump pressure or raw fuel whatever the blend may be.
The hose is not 6mm, it is 8mm inside diameter. You can use 8mm BMW cloth covered fuel hose that is available from standard BMW aftermarket suppliers.
Thank you for the correction, appreciate a professional joining in. While I have the SRI fuel tank filler and crossover hoses, I've been looking forward to their line hoses not yet available: http://www.scuderiarampanteinnovations.com/solutions.html#fuel
