I'm trying to figure out what the "central door" is and where is this rubber used? Dino 206 246 GT Central Door Front Side Rubber | eBay
That is the "T" section rubber that fits onto the leading edge of each door so that when the door closes water does not get in between the door and front wing panels. There is a small closer panel that fits around the upper inside edge of the door that holds the rubber in place at the top. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Iain, if you've got the infos/pics, could you pls help us identify clearly the different seals/gaskets present on the body, as it's unclear too on the maker website, Cico...
Would need to clarify for my L. I already have some, need the other ones but cannot identify them clearly on the website.
Thank you for the picture. Mine is a Series E GT and it either was missing when I got the car or not used on the Series E. Anybody know if it was used on the Series E GT?
My cars are all E series and all of them have this seal. It runs the full height of the door and you should find a channel that it slides into.
Does it look like the one on ebay? Dino 206 246 GT Central Door Front Side Rubber | eBay Which item number is it on this TAV? Ferrari Parts, Ferrari Accessories, and Ferrari Performance Products - Ricambi America, Inc.
The eBay item looks correct. I bought mine from Superformance - item no 24604200 206 / 246 FITTINGS Superformance ferrari dino ferrari v6 ferrari v12 specialists 308 246 206 fiat dino 355 328 This particular seal isn't shown on any of the Tavola diagrams I'm afraid. That is a common problem with the parts diagrams that Ferrari created for the 246 and it still persists in doing this even with current models where not all items are shown. The rubber seal around the instrument panel being discussed in another thread is another example of a seal on the 246 that does not appear on the relevant Tavola diagram.
You are right, however, you can find it on the 206 /246-L spare parts catalogue. Pls see part # 8 at : http://www.eurospares.co.uk/partTable.asp?M=1&Mo=492&A=2&B=27898&S=
Here is one of my doors. The "T" section of the seal slides into the channel indicated by the red arrows which you should be able to see on your own door. There is a separate closer piece that fits onto the top curved area where the green arrow is pointing that holds the seal in place at the top of the door. You'll possibly see the three fixing holes for that piece in the photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found this photo I took of the little top section closer pieces I took whilst they were still in primer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
