Hi Everyone Could do with some help as I have some issues with a 360 I bought last month (I am in Europe) Firstly the car was missing the key code, at least I think it is. I have both keys, and 3 fobs, 1 red 2 black but I am not sure I have the code to re-order keys if one was lost. What I do have is a white plastic thing on one of the key rings, with a bar code and L *** (*** being 3 numbers) written on it - is this the key code? If not is it a problem to find out what it is, as my dealer here in Spain is being far from helpful. If that is not the code is it something I really need, should I just get a 3rd key cut to be sure and forget about it? Secondly, and I think this is an issue - the car is missing the PIN for the immobiliser - the previous owner can not find it and never remembers having it. Again my dealer is being far from helpful. Does anyone know what the exact process is to re-order this - can it actually be done - anyone been through it before. At the moment if one of my fobs quits when I am out I am stranded. Any ideas/thoughts on either issue would be appreciated. Thanks
Mark I'm not much help but if you can locate the dealer who originally delivered the car, that dealer should have kept all the info you need--PIN # and key codes. I never had a key fob fail on me but I always had my wife carry the extra one just in case. The key situation is much better with the F430. Just two keys. No Master key and 2 Slaves like the 360.
Cheers Jeff. I am actually dealing with the dealer that originally supplied the car. They aint got a clue - I couldn't actually write on here what I think about them! Good news though on you never having a fob quit - I figure at least if I keep a spare battery in the car until this is all sorted that may help things if it does quit.
Red alarm fob is the master fob. As long as you have that then you can program new black fobs. Key code is probably on the small metal tag that came with the keys. Not sure about this, but in any case you can always just cut new key by copying off your existing key. BTW, you might want to consider deleting your key info from your thread. If it is the info to cut new key, it's probably not a good idea to show everyone what that code is. The immoboliser PIN is a 4 digit code came on a card with your VIN # also on it. You use it in case of emergency where you don't have you alarm fob with you. Don't remember how you punch in this PIN, either radio or key on-off sequence, but it will allow you to disarm immoboliser in lieu of a fob. If your dealer didn't keep this # in their files, then you'll probably need to contact Ferrari to try and get that # from Italy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah I don't have a small metal tag, only a plastic one, wanted to put the number on here so people could tell me if similar to theirs. Agreed ref cutting a new key - seems the easiest solution. Never lost a car key in my life anyway so not sure why I am so concerned! Ref the PIN been on to ferrari in Italy several times, so far not much success but still working on them. Can't see why it is such a big deal for them. The pic of the bit of paper you have put up - that's what I am missing, don't have it, didn't come with the car when I bought it.
Amazingly the previous owner contacted me today after I emailed him the picture above. He found it in his filing cabinet. Problem sorted. Thanks for the help, in particular the picture that was posted, saved me a fortune and a lot of hassle.
Glad to be of help. I know it would bother me a lot if I don't have that PIN to my car. BTW, I had mine laminated in plastic and kept a color copy of it separately.
Question... I have my PIN codes and was reading the one to the alarm disarm, which I might add, is one of the most confusing things I have read. I know it is probably easy but I know it can be explained better. My question is, one the alarm is immobilized, does it automatically turn active itself again after a restart? or is there a process to activate the allarm again?
I had the same problem with a 360 I bought. I had no clue where or what the code was. The dealer in Orlando found the code via the Ferrari data base. I did not buy the car from them. my battery died. They came for the car and replaced the battery. They called me for the code. I told them I did not have it or honestly even know about it. They said no problem they would find out. They did and i picked up the car the next day and hey gave me the radio code key number on a piece of paper. Lee
It's passive. It will reset itself. Entering the code via key is no different than using the remote. In the US it is a real needless PIA but in Europe high end car theft is a real problem.
