I have like a 2 foot long by 4 inch high line of mold on a dry wall part of my basement. Weird thing is that the wall is free standing and has never been wet, must be from humidity. How do I clean this off? I bought some clorox but im not sure of the mixture and what else to use, any ideas?

Had mold in the basement and used that stuff and now it's gone. That was 20 years ago.

both tsp or bleach will work fine. look on the bleach label for dilution table. normally a weak solution is fine. the real problem is to find the cause or the mold will return.

How humid does it get in the basement? If it's constantly over 60-65% humidity, you're going to have ongoing mold problems in that area.

The mold you can see, might indicate a larger amount of hidden mold behind the dry wall. Hopefully that small area you described is the only part that is mold infected. Worst case, that infected dry wall will have to be completely ripped out are replaced with new to prevent the spreading of new mold and the possibility of free floating spores floating around in the room, which, when breathed in by sensitive people, will cause them respritory problems.

Rip out that section of drywall...you are definitely getting water in your basement. Mond needs 90% or so humidity and warm temps...
