Help with some questions about the 812 after several months of ownership

    apologies in advance if these questions have been answered elsewhere but I can’t find them in the manual.

    1. I have a new garage door system and I can’t get the homelink system to work. It’s liftmaster battery backup model. Forum says I need some hub but the installer says no. Programmed the gate with a rolling code no problem but can’t figure out garage doors.

    2. Radio favorites. When I push the button to pull them up, I have to scroll and select each channel and if I leave it on a channel for over a few minutes it reverts back to general selection and I have to reselect fav’s, which puts me back at the first in the list, not the channel I selected every time ...seems trivial but pain in the ass. It’s a lot of steps to try and move from one to the next after listening to a song or two. Also, my saved favorites didn’t order in the way I selected them and it doesn’t seem to be alphabetical. Odd when I have music and news channels all mixed together but like to have them grouped...maybe a little OCD. It’s just weird and seems very different than my F12.

    3. When I am over 60ish I have a DRS symbol show up in the cluster. I can’t seem to find anything about it in the manual but that could be user error.

    Absolutely LOVE the car.

    I’m not sure about the first two but number three I can answer. The DRS is your rear diffuser dropping down above 75mph for aerodynamics . If you go below 45mph the diffuser will go back up.

    Re 1. had same issue w 488 and Lusso. You need a repeater. It comes with a special remote to teach a code to the car, then on your door motor you need to select learn mode.
    It bugged me for a while so one day I hit Home Depot to get a 12 ft ladder....

    Just a note that the add makes a point about converting a signal (that might not be secured) to a repeated secure signal. This does not secure the signal going to it so its still going to be an unsecured link end-to-end.
